Deploy the BAI Browser Extension Centrally (Chrome & Edge)

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Your IT team can deploy the Billables AI browser extension firm-wide by pushing it from the Chrome Web Store through a browser force-install policy. The same extension works for both Chrome and Microsoft Edge, and Edge installs it directly from the Chrome Web Store.

Extension ID: fdlagdbpfmbnomakkokkfelpllekihdh

Force-install value: fdlagdbpfmbnomakkokkfelpllekihdh;https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx

Deployment options

Microsoft Intune

Go to Devices > Configuration > Settings catalog and create a policy for Windows.

• Chrome: Google Chrome > Extensions > "Configure the list of force-installed apps and extensions"

• Edge: Microsoft Edge > Extensions > "Control which extensions are installed silently"

In both cases, enter the force-install value above and assign the policy to your timekeepers.

Group Policy

Using the Chrome and Edge ADMX templates, add the force-install value to the ExtensionInstallForcelist policy for each browser.

Google Admin console

Go to Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions, add the extension by ID, and set it to Force install.

Island browser

In Island's management console, add the extension by ID as a required extension.

If your firm prefers that users install the extension themselves, add the extension ID to the browser's extension allowlist instead of the force-install list.

After deployment

Once the extension is installed, each user signs in to it with their Billables AI account so their activity reaches the correct dashboard. Pinning the extension to the browser toolbar makes it easy to confirm it is active.

To verify the policy applied, IT can open chrome://policy or edge://policy on a test machine and confirm the extension policy shows as OK.
