Integration Notifications
Learn how Billables AI automatically notifies you when there are gaps in time entry activity.
Pro Tip: Add notifications@billables.ai to your contacts list so you never miss any of our automated emails.
Billables AI will automatically send emails when we detect issues or gaps with integration activity. There are two types of emails you may receive:
-
Disabled Integrations Notification. This email gets sent automatically when we detect an integration has been disabled, usually as a result of a password or system administrator change. We recommend immediate action to be taken when an integration is disabled to avoid losing activity data.
-
Lapsed Activity Notification. This email gets sent when we detect a change in your typical activity from any particular source. These emails err on the side of caution to let you know if there is any anomalous gap in activity — in some cases, the gap may be due to out-of-office absences or other deliberate breaks. In this case, you can ignore the emails.
FAQs
Why send the second type of email (lapsed activity notification) at all and not just the first (disabled integrations notification)?
In some cases, your integration could show as 'active' but you may not be getting activity sent through to Billables AI for a number of reasons. Some potential examples:
-
You enabled your Chrome/Edge browser extension but have been logged into another profile when using your browser. Therefore, the activity isn't coming through to your Billables account.
-
You installed the Microsoft Add-in, but are using a new computer that does not have the Word/Excel Macros installed, and you're seeing a gap in document activity.
-
You enabled Zoom or Teams, but have been joining meetings 'as a guest' or from a different account.
-
You were out of the office! In this case, you can ignore this email.
We send this email out of an abundance of caution so you know when we see a lapse in activity and investigate and act accordingly.
How can I validate if my integrations are working?
The easiest way to do this is to go to your Integrations page and view the "Last Activity" detected data on the right side of each integration.
