Juris Time Entry Import
-
Go to Transactions > Time Entries (or Expense Entries). The process for Expense entries is identical to Time entries.
-
Click Tools > Import.
-
Browse to the location of the CSV file that needs to be imported.
-
Select the file to import.
-
Set the Import Options. Juris recommends to use either Rename files after importing or Move files after importing. If Keep Original File name after importing is used, this could cause duplicate entries to be created and is NOT recommended. Juris discourages the use of Delete files after importing for obvious reasons.
-
Click OK.
-
Entries will be imported and a graphical progress indicator will appear.
-
A batch file will be created for the entries that were just imported. The CSV filename will be contained in the batch name. For example, Import Batch # 4059 file: dewtestimport.csv.
-
Open that batch to performs edits or click Tools > Ready to post. Use the UP ARROW to go back one screen to the list of batch files.
-
Highlight the imported batch, click Tools > Post.
Note: If the file fails to import or produces an error, check the file specifications to ensure it is properly formatted. It can be helpful to view the file in both NotePad and Excel to determine the source of the problem.
