Hidden Time Entries
Learn about hidden entries - how it works, how to customize it and how Billables AI learns what to hide
Billables AI helps you focus on the work that matters by automatically filtering out activity that’s unlikely to be billable. These hidden entries keep your main dashboard view clean and reduce the noise of low-relevance events—while still giving you full control to review or unhide them at any time.
What Are Hidden Entries?
Hidden entries are activities that Billables AI detects as low relevance to your legal work. Examples include:
- Personal calendar events (e.g. dentist appointment or 24-hour calendar blocks)
- Automated or non-work emails, such as newsletter subscriptions
- Emails that were read but not drafted or responded to
- Unassigned time entries when there are no clients or matters detected
- Other activity patterns the system recognizes as low relevance (based on previously hidden entries)
Instead of cluttering your dashboard, these entries are placed behind the scenes so you can stay focused on meaningful work.
How Hidden Entries Work
Billables AI automatically evaluates your activity and hides entries that are very unlikely to be billable. Over time, the system learns from your behavior—when you hide entries manually, Billables AI begins to hide similar entries for you.
View Hidden Entries
You can view hidden entries by enabling the View All toggle on your dashboard:

To keep the view all toggle turned on at all times, set up a preference in your Settings. Once turned on, the hidden entries will be shown by default when viewing your dashboard.

Hiding Entries Manually
If you see an entry you don’t need, click the Hide icon on the dashboard. This removes it from view and trains the system to deprioritize similar entries going forward.
