Duplicate time entries for unsent draft emails

What's happening

Billables AI may generate repeated time entries for emails sitting in your Drafts folder that have never been sent. Many law firms run security or compliance software that periodically scans mailboxes in the background. Billables AI can misinterpret that automated scan as user activity on the draft and log a new time entry each time it runs.

Temporary workaround

The most effective fix right now is to delete the draft email from your Drafts folder. We know that isn't always practical, so here are your options:

Delete the draft

Stops new duplicate entries immediately. Recommended if the email is no longer needed.

Move it out of Drafts

Save the content elsewhere and move the email to a personal folder. Recreate it when you're ready to send.

Check with your IT team

Your IT admin may be able to adjust the frequency or scope of your firm's mailbox scan.

Also remember to manually delete any duplicate entries that have already been captured in Billables AI.
