Finding Missing Activity
Give it some time.
Billables AI time entries typically generate hourly on your dashboard. In some cases, firms are set up to generate on a 15-minute basis - if you'd like to increase your frequency to 15-minutes, reach out to us at support@billables.ai.
If you'd like to generate your time entries on demand, you can click the Magic Wand button on your dashboard. Note that some time entries (particularly for video calls) take longer to generate, potentially several minutes.
Integration Health Check
Check to make sure your Integrations are active. You can go to the Integrations page and see the Last Activity detected on the right side. This will tell you if there was recent activity coming through that integration.
💡 Did you know? If an integration becomes disabled or we detect a lapse in activity outside of your typical patterns, we'll send an email alert to let you know. Make sure to add notifications@billables.ai to your Contacts list so you never miss these notifications!
Check for hidden entries.
Check the "View All" mode to see hidden entries. This is where Billables AI automatically filters out entries that might be low-relevance (like a 'spam folder'). Sometimes things end up here that you may want to bill for - if so, just edit and approve the entry to move it out of the hidden view:
Use the search bar to find entries by keyword
Search for keywords that show up in the entry narrative, clients, matters or codes.
Filter by source to find a specific entry
You can also look for specific types of entries by using the Filter feature and selecting a source of activity like email or call:
Sometimes activity may be grouped together automatically.
Email thread grouping
Emails within a thread (same subject line, same correspondents) are always grouped. You can hover over the email icon to see all the emails included within the time entry. You can also click on the link in the explanation to open up the email thread directly:
Grouping via auto-merge
Want to learn more about Auto-merging? Check out this article.
If you have an auto-merge feature turned on, you may find multiple activities combined into one time entry. Merged entries are noted with a merge arrow icon.
When you hover over the icon and click to see more, you'll find all the records that were merged into the entry.
You can use the un-merge action to split out any entries you want to exclude:
