Microsoft Docs Add-in for Individuals
Install the Billables AI Add-in through the Microsoft App store to capture your activity in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
If your organization has already enabled the Microsoft Docs Add-in for you, no further installation is required. You can check if the Add-in has been installed by finding it in your Word or Excel program.
This method for installing the Add-in requires each individual to install on their own through the Microsoft App Store. To deploy the Add-in centrally via an IT admin, see these instructions.
Setup
- Open a Word or Excel document and check that you're logged into the same email as your Billables AI account
- Check on a PC: Open Word/Excel and click your initial in the top right.

- Check on a Mac: Open Word/Excel and click on "Sign Out" in the top left to see the pop-up window. Click Cancel to avoid signing out.


- Check on a PC: Open Word/Excel and click your initial in the top right.

- If your email matches your Billables AI email, proceed to Step 3. If not, go to the Billables AI Integration page and click to enable the SharePoint and OneDrive integration (do this even if you don't regularly use SharePoint/OneDrive.

- Click on Add-Ins icon in the toolbar, then search for Billables AI. Click Add to enable the Add-in:

- Grant permission for the Billables AI app.

- You'll see the Add-in enabled when you open your Word/Excel documents:

- Proceed with installing the Macros on the Billables AI integration page. This will activate the Add-in for you automatically each time you open a document.

Installing the Add-in directly through the Microsoft App Store
- Go to the Billables AI app page in the Microsoft App Store and click "Get it Now":

- Make sure you're logged into your Microsoft account in Word/Excel under the same email as your Billables AI account:

- Click Accept to enable the Billables AI assistant:

- You should now see the Add-in when you open a Word or Excel document:
